Federico Benetti registered one point to lead HC Asiago to a 5-2 victory over the Val Pusteria Lupi.
HC Asiago also got points from Kevin Devergilio, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Paul Zanette also scored for HC Asiago Migross. More assists for HC Asiago came via David Borrelli, Mirko Presti, Layne Ulmer, Andrè Signoretti, and Michele Strazzabosco, who each chipped in one and Luca Rigoni and Matteo Tessari, who contributed two a piece.
Val Pusteria excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Lupi could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.
Val Pusteria was helped by Robert Sirianni, who tallied one goal. Sirianni scored 18:38 into the third period to make the score 4-2 HC Asiago. Giulio Scandella assisted on the tally. Val Pusteria additionally got points from Max Oberrauch, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Val Pusteria received assists from David Ling, who had one.
Vincenzo Marozzi recorded 33 saves for HC Asiago. HC Asiago incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Jean Sebastien Aubin made 37 saves for the Lupi on 42 shots. Val Pusteria registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
