The game between the HC Valpellice Bulldogs and Ritten Sport was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end HC Valpellice emerged with a 4-2 win.
Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Michal Petrak secured the win for the Bulldogs with a goal in the third period.
Petrak had a great game for HC Valpellice, netting two goals.
HC Valpellice also got points from Ryan MC Donough, who also racked up one goal and one assist. HC Valpellice also got a goal from Patrick Rizzo as well. More assists for HC Valpellice came via Slavomir Tomko, who had three and Paolo Nicolao and Joseph Grimaldi, who each chipped in one.
Ritten Sport could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.
Ritten Sport was helped by Matt Siddall, who had one goal. Siddall scored 2:58 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Eric Johansson picked up the assist. Patrick Rissmiller also scored for Ritten Sport . Other players who recorded assists for Ritten were Travis Ramsey and Levi Nelson, who contributed one each.
The Bulldogs' Simone Armand Pilon stopped 30 shots out of the 32 that he faced. HC Valpellice incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Chris Mason made 25 saves for Ritten Sport on 28 shots. Ritten Sport registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
