The winner of the KJHL playoffs used to compete with the champions of the Northwest Junior Hockey League for the Manitoba Provincial Junior B Hockey Championship, the NJHL folded in 2004. The winner of the Manitoba Provincial Junior B Hockey Championship moves on to compete for the Western Canada "B" Crown, the Keystone Cup.
