All home wins in Elitserien tonight

Växjö, MoDo, Luleå, Linköping and Färjestad all won on home ice, here is a short summary of tonight's games.
Växjö - Djurgården 3-0
Despite missing several players due to injury Växjö took a solid win at home to Djurgården. 3-0 after dominating the game from start to finish with 42-22 in shots on goal. Moran, Heikkinen and Reddox all had two points each. With Martin Gerber injured Oscar Alsenfelt did well in goal for the shutout.
MoDO - Timrå 3-1
Timrå had hopes for a new start with new coaches in the derby against MoDo but it ended with another loss. MoDo won 3-1 after completly dominating the game outshoting Timrå 55-25. Still the score was 0-0 after 40 minutes after great goalkeeping by Stefan Ridderwall. But when MoDo made it 1-0 on a power play early in the third Ridderwall was injured and MoDo made 2-0 on the cold replacement Joakim Lundström. A strong effort by MoDo who missed four defenders for this game. Player of the month candidated Nicklas Danielsson continued to show good form with two new points.
Luleå - Skellefteå 3-2 (SO)
In the nordic derby and top game Skellefteå felt like the stronger team in regular time but it was Luleå that got two points after three great penalty shots by Johan Harju in the shootout. Skellefteå had the lead two times but Luleå came back and took the game to a shootout. Skellefteå still leads the league, one point ahead of Luleå.
Linköping - AIK 3-1
An important win for Linköping around the lines in the bottom of the table. Linköping took the lead 2-0 after goals by Petterström and Hlinka. After that AIK took over the game and 33 shots on goal in the game but only managed to score once and at that point Linköping already had made it 3-1 with their second power play goal of the evening. Christian Engstrand who most often is backup did well with 32 saves in Linköping's net.
Färjestad - HV71 2-1 (SO)
In an intense game with good chances on both ends only two goals were scored in regular time. Daniel Grillfors gave the guests the lead and they held on to the lead for long before Färjestad tied the game with five minutes left. Anders Bastiansen got the goal on a good power play by Färjestad. In the shootout Marcus Paulsson was the only one to score and he did it easily as HV71's goalie Daniel Larsson fell to the ice during the shot.
