Irgl beats Petruzalek in shootout duel

In Friday's three KHL games Dinamo Minsk won in Khabarovsk, Sibir and Metallurg Novokuznetsk earned three points at home.
Amur 3-4SO Dinamo MinskAmur lost in the first home game of the year 2012. In the first during a 16-second span the teams scored at each other. Firstly Oleg Piganovich scored his first goal for Amur after being traded from Spartak and then Geoff Platt scored his 12th goal of the season at 7:50. In the middle Peter Podhradsky gave his team a lead with a power-play goal. Two power-play goals in the second helped Amur to take a lead Mikko Mäenapää and Sergei Plotnikov finished game actions. Teemu Laine tied the game with assists from Zbynek Irgl and Jaroslav Obsut at 43:05. Irgl won the second shootout duel for the last month; firstly he won against Alexander Radulov at Channel One Cup, and now he was more accurate in the duel with Czech team partner Jakub Petruzalek.
Sibir 4-2 HC LevHC Lev began its Siberian trip with a loss in Novosibirsk. Later in the third Juraj Mikus opened the scoring in a power-play with his 12th goal in the season. Vladimir Tarasenko and Jonas Enlund gave Sibir a lead after the second period. Tomas Netik tied the game and it seemed that the game could be turned into the overtime. But Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 18th goal of the season that became game-winning this night. Maxim Krivonozhkin added one goal to this deal to give Sibir its first win in the last 7 games.
Metallurg Novokuznetsk 2-1 CSKAMetallurg Novokuznetsk showed a confident performance and deserved a home win against CSKA. The CSKA defense made a mistake leaving their zone and Chris Simon with a nice wrist shot opened the scoring at 13:59. With 16 seconds to play in the first Pavel Kanarsky finished a great counter attack with a shot in the empty net. For Kanarsky it was the first goal in this season and the third in KHL history. CSKA managed only to score in the end of the game; on a 4-on-4 play Sergei Shirokov cut the Metallurg lead.
