Skellefteå wins top game to extend league lead

Skellefteå won the Elitserien top game against Brynäs on Saturday. Wins also for Luleå and Linköping.
Skellefteå - Brynäs 2-1 SOLeague leaders Skelleftå won their fourth straight game and extended their lead to five points by beating second placed Brynäs after shootout. Brynäs took the lead by Jesper Ollas but Lee Goren tied the game early in the second period. No more goals were scored and Joakim Lindström got the game winner in the shootout.
Luleå - AIK 3-0On Friday he was nominated to the rookie of the year award and on Saturday Johan Gustafsson made 29 saves for the shutout agains AIK. Luleå was best in the first and third but AIK was good in the second but was stopped by Gustafsson. Toni Koivisto assisted on Luleå's first two goals before Niklas Olausson scored the final goal in an empty net.
Färjestad - Linköping 2-3 OTThe question is if not Färjestad created their own crisis by sacking their coach during the week. Now they had a 2-0 lead at home but still lost 2-3 after overtime and now have five straight losses. A late power play goal by Magnus Johansson in the second period was the start to Linköping's turnaround of the game. Jan Hlavac tied the game in the third and Carl Söderberg scored the game winner with 49 seconds left of the overtime when he made no mistake on a breakaway.
