Genève continued with its race to catch up by winning at home against Fribourg-Gottéron while Biel lost against the ZSC Lions.
EHC Biel - ZSC Lions 2:5The game couldn't have started better for the ZSC Lions. After only 16 seconds Colin Murphy tried it with a shot from the blue line and Jeff Tambellini deflected the puck into the net for the early guest lead. Usually a goal is good for a game as the other team has to react and so did Biel but the fans had to wait till the 25th minute when Spylo's well-placed shot found a way into the right bottom corner. Ten minutes later Cunti brought Zürich again in front after a fast counter-attack. The last period should become decisive. Although Ehrensperger had tied the match a second time for Biel (46.), only a minute later it was Pittis who scored the 2-3 for the ZSC Lions in a power play situation. Kenins (51.) with a shot into the left bottom corner from a short distance and Schäppi (54.) decided the game for Zürich.
Genève-Servette HC - Fribourg-Gottéron 3:1 In the match against second placed Fribourg Gottéron a good first period was enough for Servette. Rubin had opened the score for the hosts after only two minutes. In the 7th minute it was Drachsler who increased the lead to two. Again only six minutes later Salmelainen's back hand pass found Rubin who scored his second goal of the night. In the following time Fribourg had quite a lot of chances but Servette goalie Tobias Stephan stood like a wall. With five minutes left to play Plüss could only score the consolidation goal.
