Färjestad finally wins again

Two games played in Elitserien on Friday, wins for Färjestad and Linköping.
Färjestad - Luleå 3-1Färjestad won their first game in seven attempts when they defeated Luleå 3-1. But it didn't start good, shots on goal in the first period was 2-8 much due to a major penalty for boarding on Marius Holtet. Luleå failed to take advantage of the five minute power play but Toni Koivisto scored just after Färjestad became full strength. In the second period however Färjestad turned things around with two goals within a minute by Christian Berglund and Mattias Sjögren. Per Åslund later made his second point of the game when he made it 3-1.
Linköping - Timrå 6-3After two games in a row without conceding any goals Timrå collapsed in the first period and Linköping had 5-1 after 13 minutes when everything went in. But Timrå didn't gave up and came out and dominated the second period and scored twice and was very close to a 5-4 goal but insted Niclas Hävelid found the net with a weak shot that went in by a Timrå defender for 6-3. A goal that sealed the game and no goals were scored in the last period. Jan Hlavac scored one goal and two assists for Linköping.
