Brynäs takes over the lead in Elitserien

Brynäs is the new leader of Elitserien after beating Linköping 4-2 at home. Brynäs was the better team and was in driver seat for most of the game.

The first period was scoreless but 6:37 into the second period Jakob Silfverberg scored his 15th goal of the season when Brynäs power play was succesful once again. After 11 minutes Magnus Johansson tied the game but just over one minute later Mattias Ekholm gave Brynäs the lead again.

Daniel Widing made it 3-1 with a powerful shot on the power play. Mark Hartigan gave Linköping some hope again with a late goal in the period but they were never really close to tie the game in the third and instead Mats Lavander made it 4-2 with 3:09 left to play.

Brynäs' coach Tommy Jonsson was pleased and said "I have to say that we made a very good game. Hard work and working very close to each other and playing compact that gives us the win."

For Linköping it still looks hard in the bottom of the table and are in tenth place.
