Overtime comeback

After the 4th game of the KHL playoffs first round series Barys lead 3-1 over Metallurg Magnitogorsk but the Ural team won in three overtimes to go to the 2nd round.
Metallurg Mg 2-1 OT BarysDuring the first period Barys made 15 shots on Ari Ahonen’s net, but only Metallurg scored in the first third of the game. Maxim Sushinsky found Sergei Mozyakin alone near the Barys net who beat Vitaly Yeremeyev in a close duel at 06:34. Lukas Kaspar fired three times and the fourth shot in the second changed the score. Barys used its first power-play chance when Metallurg got a penalty for too many players on the ice. Lukas Kaspar tied the game with a nice wrist shot at 28:47. Barys gifted the home team a chance to play 5-on-3 about one minute but the Kazakh team defense denied all attempts. In the third Barys was more active but as Metallurg Mg they can’t score and the game like in the last two battles of the series turned into overtime. The last two games Metallurg won in overtime with the score 4-3 both times. The teams peppered the goalies with shots. They made 75 shots and only two were impossible to deny.
The series closed at 61:42 when Danila Markov fired from the middle distance. Metallurg trailed in the series 1-3 but managed to win in three overtimes to go to the 2nd round.
