Skellefteå to semi final
Skellefteå won the only game played in the playoff of Elitserien yesterday and qualified for the semi finals.
MoDo - Skellefteå 1-2 (Series: 2-4)
Already after eight minutes Skellefteå had a 2-0 lead and forced MoDo to a timeout. It was Bud Holloway that gave Skellefteå the lead already after 54 seconds and seven minutes later Joakim Lindström made it a two goal lead. MoDo's coach Ulf Samuelsson was furious in the locker room after the first period.
MoDo came out some what better in the second period but it felt like Skellefteå was in control of the game and there were no goals scored in the second period. In the third it felt like the game was running away from MoDo when they suddenly scored out of nothing when Niklas Danielsson got an open net after a missed shot.
After that goal MoDo put pressure on Skellefteå to tie the game but Joacim Eriksson made some good saves and Skellfteå won the game 2-1 and qualified for the semi finals.
