SKA didn’t use a chance to end the series against Atlant, Dynamo wins the second straight game in the series and leads 3-2.
SKA 1-3 AtlantIn game 5 Atlant for the first time scored first. It happened at 13:02 when Yevgeny Nurislamov left the penalty box, came to the offensive zone and fired on Jakub Stepanek’s net. 4 minutes later SKA tied the game with Patrick Thoresen goal from Barulin’s crease. SKA dominated on the ice most part of the game and outshot Atlant 42-13. It wasn’t enough, tonight Atlant used all their chances to win. At 33:14 Ilya Kablukov came from the behind the net and fired below the bar. With 10 seconds to play of the game Branko Radivojevic closed it with an empty-net goal. SKA still lead in the series and will have another chance to end it March 23 in Mytischi.
Torpedo 2-4 DynamoAll goals in Nizhny Novgorod were scored in power-play. At 20 seconds of the game Dynamo forward Konstantin Gorovikov got the first penalty. Torpedo’s Alexei Ugarov needed only 24 seconds to play at the rebound and open the score. It didn’t pass a lot of time until Dynamo tied the game. Jakub Klepis re-directed a puck after Janne Jalasvaara’s shot at 07:27. The second period became game-winner deciding. Dynamo scored three times to get a comfortable advantage. Mikhail Anisin, Marek Kvapil and Ilya Gorokhov beat Torpedo goalie Vital Koval with PP goals. In the third Torpedo made a final score 2-4 with the first playoff goal by Yevgeny Varlamov. Dynamo takes the lead in the series and will do their best at March 23 when they will face Torpedo on the ice of Megasport arena.
