Kuznetsov leads Traktor to conference final

In game 6 of eastern conference semis Traktor beats Ak Bars 4-1 on the road to earn a place in conference final against Avangard.

Russian young star Yevgeny Kuznetsov scored the second game winning goal in this series to help his team Traktor. The away team was really concentrated at this play. During penalty-killing shifts forward Konstantin Panov robbed the puck in the neutral zone and fired from the blue line to beat Petri Vehanen at 18:42.Ak Bars tied it early in the third during a power-play oppportunity when Danis Zaripov scored with a nice wrist shot from the faceoff circle. At 46:33 Yevgeny Kuznetsov decided the series; he came past three opponents and with a backhand shot gave Traktor the lead. Zaripov could have tied the game again but couldn’t lift the puck over Garnett. With 1.5 minutes to play in the third Traktor closed the game with Petri Kontiola’s goal and Kuznetsov’s empty-netter.

First game of the East final will be played Mar 29.
