On Wednesday the conference finals starts in KHL with a game in St. Petersburg where Dynamo Moscow rally from 3-goal deficit to beat local SKA in the overtime.
SKA 4-5 OT DynamoEverything started this night so great for SKA. In the middle of the game they lead 3-0 thanks to two Viktor Tikhonov’s goals and one sole move from Vladimir Tarasenko. In the end of the second Dynamo got a 5-minute power-play chance when Alexei Semyonov got game misconduct. Dynamo didn’t use it but in the first minutes of the third they finally beat Jakub Stepanek. At 43:23 Marek Kvapil’s shot from a sharp angle made the score 3-1. A minute later Leonid Komarov cut their lead in power-play with a wide-open shot. SKA stopped playing? Not! Vladimir Tarasenko added the puck into the net after Dmitry Kalinin’s shot from the blue line at 47:31. In 60 seconds Dynamo returned a 1-goal lead to SKA when Denis Mosalyov scored from the goalie’s crease. With 1:45 to play in the third Mosalyov fired from the right boards and tied the game. Unbelievable Dynamo comeback during the third period! In the overtime Patrick Thoresen made a pass from goalie zone and the puck after touching Tony Mårtensson got into the net. After investigation the officials decided not to count this goal. A minute later Denis Mosalyov ended the game with his third goal of the night.
"The game was made by referees. Why was Semyonov sent off? The clear goal of Mårtensson they didn’t count. What you need more? Officials worked at one side penalizing only our players," SKA head coach Milos Riha said.
