Avangard Omsk beats Traktor Chelyabinsk in overtime to tie the KHL semi final

Nikita Pivtsakin scored in the second overtime period to give Avangard the win.

Traktor Chelyabinsk - Avangard Omsk 2-3 (OT)

Traktor won the first home game against Avangard Omsk 3-1, but today Avangard tied the series with an overtime win. Nikita Pivtsakin scored the winner at 86:01 assisted by Roman Cervenka.

Avangard took an early lead when Dmitry Syomin beat Michael Garnett at 2:29. Yevgeny Kuznetson tied it at 9:23 and also took Traktor to the lead at 35:09. Kuznetsov has now scored 7 goals in the playoffs.

In the first minute of the third period Alexander Perezhogin tied the game at 2 and the game continued in overtime. The first OT period was scoreless but 6:01 into the second Nikita Pivtsakin got the winner to tie the series.
