Brynäs first to final in Sweden
Skellefteå wins big to take the control of the other semi final.
Brynäs is qualified for the final after beating Färjestad over five games. Färjestad made a very good away game but despite 44 shots on goal they didn't manage to beat Brynäs scoring only two goals.
Brynäs took an early lead when Mats Lavander took advantage of a mistake from the Färjestad defense. Marius Holtet made it 1-1 at 19:29 and assisted when Färjestad took the lead after only 57 seconds in the second period.
It only took 30 seconds Sebastian Wännström to score the important equalizer and as Jakob Silfverberg assisted on the goal it was almost certain Brynäs would win. Silfverberg now has scored in eight playoff games, Brynäs has won all of them. Calle Järnkrok scored what turned out to be the game winning goal six minutes later with a deke on Nihlstorp.
When Färjestad pushed forward for an equalizer Jonas Brodin was sent off two minutes for slashing. Färjestad pulled the goalie anyway but Jonathan Granström hit the empty net for a 4-2 win. Brynäs is now looking to win their first gold since 1999.
Skellefteå - AIK 8-2 (series: 3-2)
It was only one team on the ice and Skellefteå now has 13-3 on the two last home games. The game as over already after the first period when Skellefteå had a 4-0 lead. Jimmie Ericsson was brilliant with one goal and two assists on the three first goals.
AIK lost it and took several penalties after the 4-0 goal but still managed to pull a couple of goals back but was never close to shake Skellefteå.
Viktor Fasth conceded eight goals but couldn't be replaced as backup Markus Svensson was injured when he was hit by a stick on the bench. Shots on goals in the game was 50-19 and the question is if AIK can come back from this deficit.
Just like Jimmie Ericsson, Bud Holloway and John Klingberg scored three points.
