Finland beat Sweden 2-1 in tonight's quarter final and will get to meet Canada in the first semi. Switzerland beat Russia 5-2 and will face the host USA in its semi final.

USA and Canada finished first and second in Group A to get a bye to the semi finals.

Stefanie Marty scored twice. Phoebe Stanz, Julia Marty and Evelina Raselli also scored in Switzerland's win over Russia. Goalie Florence Schelling made 32 saves.

"It's pretty surprising. I'm not going to lie. I can't believe we're going to the semi-finals, but it's an awesome feeling", Schelling says to IIHF.com.

Finland's Anne Helin opened the scoring against Sweden after only 21 seconds of play. Susanna Tapani made it 2-0 at 16:58. The Swedes chased goals and had 44 shots against Finnish keeper Nora Rääty but only managed to beat her once; at 53:04 when Elin Holmlöv scored 2-1.

"I had yesterday off and got some rest. I felt good this morning. I got a couple of easy saves in the beginning and went from there", says the Finnish goalie to IIHF.com.

In the Relegation round Germany won the first game of three against Slovakia 2-1 in a shoot-out game
