Two goals by Arseny Khatsei lead team Russia to a victory over Germany, a lone german goal was scored from the blue line.

For the last game at the tournament the Russian coaching staff decided to give some ice time to Ivan Nalimov who is considered to be the third goalie in the team. At 16th minute Frederik Tiffels score the craziest goal here. He fired the puck from German blue line and it got into the net.

“I don’t think that it was a goalie mistake at this moment. The puck spinned in front of him and got into the net,” said Frederik Tiffels.

“I hope I won’t concede this kind of goal anymore,” said Ivan Nalimov.

In the second period Arseny Khatsei turned the game into Russian account. First he was first at the rebound after Sergei Kuptsov’s shot and then beat Marvin Cupper with a not too dangerous shot. At the last minute of the second he was close to score a hat-trick but he liftered the puck over the bar.

In the third period Frederik Tiffels hit Denis Kamayev into the board and got 5+20. The Russians showed the perfect PP, first Valery Nichushkin added the puck into the net after a nice combination when only 9 seconds past after a penalty. 13 seconds later Andrei Mironov fired from the blue line to make it 4-1. Russia earned a 5th place here and will have Czech Republic and Latvia at domestic championship next year in Sochi.
