Johan Larsson named Swedish Junior of the Year

Minnesota Wild prospect Johan Larsson won gold medals in the Swedish Championship and the World Juniors. He also played the World Championship for Sweden. Today he was named Swedish Junior of the Year 2011/12.
Johan Larsson had a fantastic year. He was the captain of Team Sweden when they won the
World Juniors for the first time since 1981. He then won the Swedish Championship with his club
Brynäs IF and was named Elitserien Rookie of the Year. He ended the season with playing the World Championship with Sweden.
Today the Swedish hockey journalists named him Swedish Junior of the Year. The award has been handed out since 1961/62.
The motivation of the jury: "An extremely dedicated and physically strong player. Additionally he is equipped with a fabulous will to win and has great leadership skills".
For next season Larsson will play in North America for Houston Aeros/Minnesota Wild.
