Landshut Cannibals have today lost their
Bundesliga license meaning they are likely to be demoted two or three levels in German ice hockey. The same licence was denied also for Oberliga champion
Tölzer Löwen Bad Tölz, while the decision for another club with problems - Bremerhaven - wasn't yet taken. For Landshut the reason is a lack of cooperation agreement between the LES GmbH and the original club EV Landshut Cannibals.
Tölzer Löwen have missed some deadlines to present necessary documents, but the team announces appeal: Tölzer President Josef Hintermaier and CEO Manfred Gröger received the news by Internet: "We have learned about the question by chance! About a matter so important for us!" said Gröger. Josef Hintermaier is angry:" It would have been a matter of decency to inform us first and then the media!
