Czech Women’s Summer Cup Day 1

It was a cool 9'C inside the Zimni Stadion but the tempers were hot on the ice as the first day of the Czech Women's summer cup was completed.
The biggest story of the tournament so far was the hotly contested game between Slavia Praha and Tornado Moscow. While the game ended with a lopsided victory 6-0 for Tornado Moscow, the teams went shot for shot in punches on multiple occasions that included a good dust up in front of Praha's net in the third that saw two players ejected.
The rest of the games played today resembled championship tilts with the players showing little signs of this being a pre-season tournament. Most players and coaches realize that they have a chance of running into each other in the EWCC or the EWHL this season.
ESC Planegg got off a good start with a convincing win over HC Agidel Ufa, 5-1. Ufa, showing signs of fatigue from their earlier win against Team Netherlands today, found themselves turning the puck over consistently which lead to most of the goals.
EHV Sabres Vienna defeated Pantera Minsk 2-1 with the game winning goal coming off a deflection by a Minsk player.
At the time of writing this, Vienna is up on Team Netherlands 1-0 at the end of the first period.
