EBEL newcomers with losses

Especially for Innsbruck the season stays disappointing to this point. Favourites Vienna and Salzburg added another win.
For current champion Black Wings Linz the season is not going into the right direction. Against Hungarian side SAPA Fehervar AV19 they were already behind 0-4 after two periods before Brian Lebler scored the consolidation goal for the hosts. EC Red Bull Salzburg with a solid 5-2 home win against record champion EC KAC and Vienna Capitals did their jobs better - although Vienna had been behind 0-2 and 1-3 against newcomers Dornbirn, Jamie Fraser with a double in the second period brought them back into the match. In the end Philipp Pinter won the game for the hosts in the shootout. The other newcomers HC Innsbruck were in front 2-3 after 40 minutes in Znojmo but the Czechs turned the result around in their favour in the third period to win 5-3.
Olimpija Ljubljana cut a three-goal lead by the Graz 99ers to just one before Dustin Van Ballegooie decided everything for the guests at 48:06. Also EC VSV beat a non-Austrian team. Against Croatian side KHL Medvscak Zagreb they turned around the initial guest lead through Adam Naglich which was scored after 27 seconds already. Still in the beginning phase of the game Antti Pusa scored the equalizer before Derek Damon and Marco Pewal earned the win in the following two periods.
