The Ukrainians are at a good level already in KHL but they have problems in the decisive moments.
Severstal changed positions with their Tarasov Division neighbours Torpedo Nizhni Novgorod by defeating them 4-2. Gennady Stolyarov had put the home side in front but until the second intermission Vladimir Malenkikh and Robert Nilsson turned the result around for Torpedo. With three consecutive goals in the last 20 minutes through Stolyarov with his second along with Denis Kazionov and Vadim Shipachyov Severstal managed to keep all three points in Cherepovets.
Dinamo Minsk with one of their few wins this season won against Atlant Moscow Oblast 3-2 in regulation. The guests had earned a two-goal lead in the first period through Nikolai Lemtyugov and Igor Ignatushkin but Libor Pivko, Charles Linglet and Teemu Laine changed the result in favor of the Belarussian hosts until 26:28. Atlant played without their goalie Anton Khudobin in the last minute of play but that didn't help them anymore.
Two late goals in their visit to Chekhov where they faced local side Vityaz were enough for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl to become Tarasov Division leaders after Atlant had stumbled. Sergei Plotnikov after an assist by Artyom Anisimov in power play at 46:36 and Yegor Averin made sure that all three points were gained by Lokomotiv. Vitaly Kolesnki gained a 25-save shutout.
Despite being the more aggressive team at home against Spartak Moscow, Donbass Donetsk received its seventh loss of their first ever KHL campaing - the sixth with only one goal difference. Today both teams failed to score in the regular time and also overtime didn't find a winner. In the 7th round of the shootout Mikhail Zhukov transformed the decisive penalty for Spartak but the team stays last in their Division.
