4 KHL games on Friday. Nothing to get for newcomers today.
Metallurg Novokuznetsk used the opportunity to get as close as to a three-point deficit to the second place in Chernyshyov Divison. Against Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk they were alread in front 4-1 before the guests brought tension back at the end of the second period. At 49:42 Damir Zhafyarov earned the game winner for the Metallurg but as Petr Koukal cut the lead another time for Neftekhimik the hosts had to fear for the three points till the very end. In the end the small 5-4 lead was enough.
Torpedo did what they do best these days, score a lot of goals. They twice came back after a deficit in an eventful first period after which the result was 3-3. Alexei Vasilyev and Mikhail Varnakov - with his second of the day - made it 3-5 for the guests at their visit to bottom side Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.
Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk ended their three-game home stint with a perfect record. Today they beat Ukrainian KHL newcomers Donbass Donetsk with the result of 3-1. Evgeny Dadonov put the guests in front at 16:13 but Igor Skorokhodov and Alexander Golovin turned the match around for Yugra even before the second intermission. With 23 seconds left Anton But with an empty netter left no doubts over the winner.
For a long time Czech team Lev Prague did not only keep their away game at CSKA Moscow very open but they even were the better side. Still they couldn't avoid their 8th loss in the last 9 matches. Yakov Rylov opened the score in a power play situation with only nine seconds left in the middle period with assists by Alexander Radulov and Mikhail Grabovsky. Early in the third period Radulov and Grabovsky both went on to give assists to the following two CSKA strikes by Evgeny Ryasensky and Pavel Datsyuk.
