With Kazan and Ufa two Gagarin Cup winners were beaten today. Spartak can't hold lead against Traktor.
Already in the first period the result of the match between Amur Khabarovsk and Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk stood. Jakub Petruzalek had opened the score for Amur at 05:43 but Martin Cibak and Yaroslav Alshevksy turned around the match for the guests.
Sibir Novosibirsk won today's top game at home against Ak Bars Kazan. Alexander Nikulin brought Sibir in front in the first period before Alexei Morozov tied the match shortly before the second intermission. In the last 20 minutes Anton Malyshev and Maxim Krivonozkhin made sure all three points would stay in Novosibirsk.
In an eventful game Salavat Yulayev Ufa was in front 0-1 and 2-3 in their visit to Metallurg Novokusnezk but Dmitry Kagarlitsky and Randy Robitaille won the match for Metallurg in the third period. After a time out Ufa pulled out their goalie for the last one and a half minutes but couldn't change the result anymore so that the small 4-3 lead for Metallurg stood.
At the begin of the third period Spartak Moscow was in front with a 4-1 lead against favourites Traktor Chelyabinsk but Evgeny Kuznetsov and Alexander Suglobov cut the lead to just one within a couple of minutes. After a timeout Traktor played the rest of the regular time with an empty net but Spartak failed to score the game winner. Instead Stanislav Chistov gained the equalizer at 59:28. In the shootout Petri Kontiola and Anton Glinkin even won the extra point for Traktor, keeping Spartak at the bottom of Tarasov Division. Traktor now has a four-point advantage over Ak Bars Kazan in Kharlamov Division.
