HV 71's goalie Gustaf Wesslau earned his twelfth win in as many games when his team beat AIK 5-4 in tonight's Elitserien game. Four-point night for Patrik Carlsson.
Gustaf Wesslau is still undefeated in Elitserien in the HV 71 jersey. Today the successful goalie allowed four goals but still got away with a win against AIK. In 12 games Wesslau has 12 wins and HV 71 leads Elitserien, now with a 5-point margin before four tied teams.
AIK's young Danish prospect
Nicklas Jensen scored the first goal and now leads the team in scoring with 8 goals and 3 assists in 15 games. Two and a half minute later
Patrik Carlsson tied it for HV 71 and a few minutes later Carlsson made it 2-1. Carlsson would also get two assists later in the game to celebrate a 4-point night.
In the opening of the second period HV got a 2-goal lead on a goal by
Jason Krog. In the middle of the period the teams scored a goal each. First
Oscar Ahlström scored 2-3 and then
William Karlsson 2-4.
In the third period
Marcus Nilson gave HV 71 a 3-goal lead but AIK recovered and scored 3-5 (
Esa Pirnes) and 4-5 (
Fredrik Hynning) with nine minutes remaining. AIK chased an equalizer and even had a shot off the post, but the game ended 4-5.
