With 31 saves Linköping's goalie Christian Engstrand wins the game against Växjö. Linköping now climbs to the second place in the Elitserien standings. Timrå and Skellefteå also win on Wednesday night.
Christian Engstrand made 31 saves and
Simon Hjalmarsson scored both goals when Linköping beat Växjö Lakers 2-1 in
VIDA Arena to climb to the second place in Elitserien. Växjö outshot Linköping 32-9 but they only managed to beat Engstrand once. On a 2-man advantage late in the second period
Tomi Kallio scored. By then Linköping's Simon Hjalmarsson had already scored twice. Växjö's goalie
Fredrik Norrena who played for Linköping last season only made 7 saves tonight, but he saved a penalty shot from the league's top goal scorer
