HV 71 remains in the lead of Elitserien. Rögle wins three important points at the bottom of the table. Wins also for Timrå and Luleå.

 
 
 
 
HV 71 beat MODO 4-1 and remains in the lead of Elitserien. HV wasn't threatened at all tonight. The home team had a 3-0 lead after the first period on goals by Jesper Fasth, Mattias Karlsson and Patrik Carlsson. Elias Fälth made it 4-0 in the second period. Ludvig Byström scored MODO's only goal at 54:52. Mario Kempe had a chance to take MODO even closer but he missed a penalty shot at 55:24.

In the game Skellefteå-Timrå three of the four goals were scored short-handed. Andreas Molinder scored 1-0 for Timrå when his team mate Nils Bäckström spent time on the penalty bench. He also assisted Robin Sterner who scored a power play goal for 2-0 at 14:10. Simon Önerud made it 3-0 in the second period. also this time Nils Bäckström was serving time. Skellefteå's only goal was scored at 35:14 by Erik Forssell when Joakim Lindström spent 2 minutes in the box after a hooking call. Timrå got the 3-1 win and is now close to a playoff spot.

Jens Jakobs scored the winner when Luleå beat Brynäs in a shoot-out game. The three first goals of the game were scored on power play. Cody Franson made it 1-0 for the home team Brynäs. Anton Hedman tied it just ten seconds before the end of the first period. Luleå took the lead on a goal by Linus Klasen at 36:23. Only one goal was scored in the third period - Andreas Thuresson's equalizer. Luleå won 3-2 after Jens Jakobs and Linus Klasen scored in the shoot-out while Elias Lindholm and Calle Järnkrok missed for Brynäs.

Rögle is stuck at the bottom of the table but got three important points against Linköping tonight. Rögle took a 4-0 lead with goals by Dennis Everberg, Alexander Barta, Mike Iggulden and Tom Preissing and the game appeared to be won. But Linköping scored three times during the last ten minutes. Pär Arlbrant 4-1 on a 2-man advantage, Eric Himelfarb 4-2 with five minutes remaining and Carl Söderberg 4-3 at 58:24 when Linköping had pulled the net-minder Christian Engstrand.
