Lehner saves Sweden

Robin Lehner saved 30 shots to help Sweden beat Russia 2-0 in the World Juniors. Finland got a very important 4-0 win against Switzerland. Canada beat Czech Republic 7-2 and the host USA won 6-1 against Slovakia.
Sweden's goalkeeper Robin Lehner is one of few players with NHL experience in the championship. With splendid goaltending, 30 saves, he won the game for Sweden against Russia. Both Swedish goals were scored in the first period. Captain Anton Lander scored 1-0 and just a few minutes later Jesper Fasth made it 2-0.
Finland recovered after the loss against USA and beat Switzerland 4-0. The scorers for the "Young Lions" were scored by Joonas Nättinen, Jaakko Turtiainen, Teemu Pulkkinen and Julius Junttila. Jyrki Jokipakka and Joonas Donskoi had two assists each. Golatender Joni Ortio only had to make 15 saves for the shut-out.
The Americans got an easy win against Slovakia. Kyle Palmiere scored twice in the opening period to lead his team to the 6-1 victory. Charlie Coyle. Emerson Etem, Drew Shore and Chris Brown also scored for USA. Slovakia's goal was scored by Tomas Jurco.
The Canadian's started slowly against Czech Republic and the Czechs were allowed to score the first goal but then it was mostly about Canada who outshot the opponents 39-19. Brayden Schenn, Jaden Schwartz, Louis Leblanc, Ryan Ellis, Cody Eakin, Tyson Barrie and Jared Cowen scored the Canadians goals, The first and last goal of the game were Czech, scored by Antonin Honejsek and Jakub Jerabek
