Swedish WJC star Sebastian Collberg scored on both his penalty shot attempts, one in regulation and one in the shootout when Linköping suffered the second straight home loss. Djoos game winner when Brynäs wins. Färjestad beats Rögle.
Linköpings HC - Frölunda HC 3 - 4
Linköping's scoring leader Carl Söderberg opened the scoring for the home team at 2:40, but less than five minutes later Frölunda had turned the score to a 2-1 lead with a power play goal by Magnus Kahnberg and a successful penalty shot by Sebastian Collberg. After a scoreless second period Linköping tied it early in the third on a goal by Pär Arlbrandt. Frölunda quickly restored the lead with a goal by Joel Lundqvist, but Linköping tied it again when captain Magnus Johansson beat Linus Fernström. In the overtime period both teams got to play on power play without scoring. The game was decided in the shootout where Sebastian Collberg was the only successful shooter.
Färjestads BK - Rögle BK 5 - 1
Magnus Nygren scored twice in the second period when Färjestad moved forwards to a 4-0 lead. Christian Berglund and Patrik Lundh had scored in the first. At 29 minutes Daniel Sylvander scored Rögle's only goal of the night with his second goal of the season. Jack Connolly made it 5-1 2:32 before the end of the game. Färjestad's Joakim Nygren got ejected from the game for a tough hit on Rögle's star Richard Lintner.
Timrå IK - Brynäs IF 2 - 3
The World Juniors player Christian Djoos scored the winner with his first ever Elitserien goal when Brynäs beat Timrå 3-2.Brynäs had a 2-goal lead after two periods on goals by Calle Järnkrok and Johan Harju but Timrå managed to tie the game with the early third period goals by Christian Söderström and Per Hallin. Djoos's winning goal was scored at 50:18.
