David Åslin scores the winner in his first game for Växjö. For Växjö this was the first win in Elitserien since December 9. Johan Gustafsson made 46 saves when Luleå beat Skellefteå 1-0. Easy win for HV71 against AIK.
Växjö Lakers HC - MODO Hockey 3 - 2
Växjö had lost ten games in a row and just signed two forwards who played their first game tonight; Jan Hlavac and David Åslin. Åslin was the most successful of them since he got the game-winning goal. MODO took the lead on a goal by Per-Åge Skrøder but Liam Reddox tied it just before the end of the first period. Dennis Rasmussen made it 2-1 for Växjö at 23:17. Åslin scored the 3-1 goal with ten minutes remaining. At 56:13 MODO got closer again with a goal by Mikko Kousa. MODO pulled the netminder Bernhard Starkbaum but the game ended 3-2.
Skellefteå AIK - Luleå HF 0 - 1 (SO)
The game between the two teams of northern Sweden was still scoreless after regulation and overtime. Luleå's goalie Johan Gustafsson had made 46 saves while Markus Svensson had saved 29 for Skellefteå. In the shootout only two players managed to score. Both from the visitors: Linus Klasen and Jens Jakobs.
HV 71 - AIK 6 - 0
AIK outshot HV71 31-24 but the HV win was never in jeopardy. Patrik Carlsson opened the scoring in the fifth minute and closed it with 3:51 remaining. In between Filip Sandberg, Jesper Fasth, David Petrasek and Per Ledin scored. Gustaf Wesslau in HV71's net earned his sixth shutout of the season.
