Davos 2 Zürich 3 (3-3 in series)
The defending champions win for the second time in row and tie the series at 3-3.With a 3-2 victory Zürich force Davos to play a game 7 at Zürich . Zürich was strong on powerplay, with two goals by Thibaut Monnet(1-0) and Roman Wick(3-1). Davos scored the 2-3 at minute 54 but Zürich defended well until the end of the game. Zurich's Mikko Lehtonen impressed with a goal and an assist.
Lugano 2 Zug 1 (3-3 in series)
The duel between Zug and Lugano going also in a game 7. Zug started to play only after the 2-0 for Lugano. But when they did it was simply to late. Even during the strongest phase of the visiting team, Lugano was very solid in defensive zone. Mickael Fluckiger(37 saves), Dominechelli and McLean(goal and assist) led home team tonight.
Biel 4 Fribourg 3 SO (3-3 in series)
Fribourg lost for the third time in a row against Biel and for the second time in a penalty shutout. Marc-Antoine Pouliot was the only player to score in shutout.
Fribourg afforded again a disastrous start in the first period with three goals conceded. And the goals resulted from serious errors from his own defense. Goalie Benjamin Conz take two of the three goals in his cap.
In the game both teams had chances to score before the shutout. Biel had a clear advantage in first period with 3-1 Marc-Antoine Pouliot (1:0 at 4th), Philip Wetzel (2-1 at 8th) and Chris Campoli (3:1 at 17th).
But in the second half, Fribourg took over the game and equalized by Andrei Bykov and Tristan Vauclair tied the game 3-3.
Biel goalie Reto Berra was once again home town hero with 41 saves and defending all shutout. Excellent visiting card for a player who wants to play in Sweden or in NHL next year.
Geneva 3 Bern 4 SO (3-3 in series)
Bern repealed the second series puck from Geneva. Bern fight back after 1:3 at minute 40. Winning 4:3 after penalty shutout, putting the series in 3-3. In six game series games, that was the third time in overtime or shutout. The decisive penalty came from ex-Geneva Daniel Rubin. In overtime Geneva's win was closer then Bern. Byron Ritchie from Bern was the MVP with two goals.
