Frölunda and Linköping both tied their Elitserien quarter final series. Frölunda with a 2-0 win over Luleå and Linköping with a 6-1 win over HV 71.
Frölunda HC - Luleå HF

Frölunda beat Luleå 2-0 at home after goals by Magnus Kahnberg and Fabian Brunnström in the middle of the first period. Julius Hudacek in Frölunda's net made 34 saves to earn the shutout. At the end of the first period Luleå's defenseman Pavel Skrbek was tripped by Mats Rosselli Olsen and injured his knee. This was the start of a big fight involving Henrik Tömmernes, Joel Lundqvist and Gustav Rydahl of Frölunda and Anton Hedman, Chris Abbott, Fredrik Svensson and Johan Fransson of Luleå. The series is now tied 1-1 and continues on Sunday in Luleå.
Linköpings HC - HV 71
6 - 1 (3-1, 1-0, 2-0)
Linköping got revenge after the 6-0 loss in game one. Without suspended Carl Söderberg the home team managed to beat the visitors from Jönköping 6-1. In the first period Linköping took the lead with a shorthanded goal by Sebastian Karlsson. Two minutes later HV's Andreas Jämtin got a game misconduct for spearing Karlsson on Linköping's bench. During the 5-minute penalty HV 71 first tied it with a shorthanded goal by Patrik Carlsson but then Mattias Bäckman and Simon Hjalmarsson got Linköping a 2-goal lead. Magnus Johansson made it 4-1 in the second period and Daniel Grillfors and Pär Arlbrant scored empty-netters to get a 6-1 win.
