Frölunda HC - Luleå HF
4 - 3 (1-1, 1-0, 1-2, 0-0, 1-0)

After almost five periods of play Mathis Olimb scored the game winning and quarter final series tying goal for Frölunda at 94:58. The home team had a 3-1 lead in the third period after goals by Christian Bäckman, Magnus Kahnberg and Joel Lundqvist but the win wouldn't come that easy after all. Niklas Fogström scored 3-2 at 47:44 and Chris Abbott tied it for the guests from Luleå just 24 seconds later. Jan Sandström had scored Luleå's first goal. After four games this is the only series of the Elitserien quarter finals that is tied.

Linköpings HC - HV 71
5 - 4 (1-2, 2-2, 1-0, 1-0)

For the second game in a row Linköping beat HV 71 in overtime after a late comeback. LHC now leads the series 3-1.

HV 71 had a late 4-3 lead but Linköping pulled Andreas Andersson from the net and Lee goren tied the game at 59:09. In the overtime period it took only 2:27 before Simon Hjalmarsson could score the winner for the home team.

HV 71 got an early lead when former Linköping player Johan Lindström opened the scoring at 02:43. At 09:13 Linköping's netminder Christian Engström had to leave the ice with a bleeding eyebrow after a shot to the head. He was replaced with Andreas Andersson. Robin Figren tied the game five minutes later but Andreas Jämtin brought HV 71 back to the lead before the end of period one. At 24:16 Johan Lindstöm, who only scored five goals during the regular season, scored his second goal of the game. When HV 71 played a sloppy powerplay Johannes Salmonsson could take advantage of a breakaway to score 2-3. Linköping's veteran defenseman Magnus Johansson then tied it when Linköping had a man-advantage. Less than a minute later Patrik Carlsson took HV back to the lead. The 4-3 lead lasted for 24 minutes before Lee Goren tied it in the final minute of regulation.
