Luleå beat Frölunda 4-2 in Gothenburg today to qualify for the Elitserien semi finals where they will face Färjestad.
In the past five games the home team had won, but today Luleå broke that suite when they won the game 4-2 and the series with the same numbers. Luleå controlled the game from the start. Chris Abbott scored 0-1 after five minutes and Daniel Gunnarsson made it 0-2 in the 14th minute. Toni Koivisto scored 0-3 at four minutes of teh second period. Just before the 30-minute mark Jari Tolsa got Frölunda on the scoring sheet with a power play goal.
With a few minutes remaining Frölunda pulled it's goalie Julius Hudacek and Henrik Tömmernes managed to make it 2-3. But Daniel Mannberg sealed it with an empty netter.
In the semi final Luleå will play Färjestad who eliminated MODO 4-1. The other semi final series will be played between regular season winner Skellefteå and Linköping.
