Zürich takes a comfortable 3-0 lead in series; Bern with the second overtime win in two games at home;
Fribourg 5 Zürich 4 SO (3-0 in series)
With this third victory in row the Hans Kossmann players now have a comfortable 3-0 lead in series. Contrary to last Tuesday were Fribourg was imperial in first period, this time Zürich defense was more difficult.
Zurich took advantage of the lack of originality from home team to put pressure on Benjamin Conz cage. But as during the initial confrontation, would be Fribourg to open the score thanks to Benjamin Plüss. This time Zürich was prepared to respond and was much better organized especially in neutral zone.
In second and third period the game was pretty much a ping-pong game more then a hockey game, and the final score was 4-4.
During the overtime both teams were looking for winning goal specially Zürich, but Benjamin Conz did a great job stopping everything. And in the shootout Fribourg won the game.
Bern 3 Zug 2 OT(2-1 in series)
Unlike last Thursday were Bern get crushed in must part of the game, this time home team took the game seriously from the beginning.
The game was divided in three different parts. Pretty equal in first period , home team dominated the second period and was dominated in third.
4:53 into the extra time, defenseman Travis Roche managed to beat Markkanen while Bern was on power-play. The second overtime win in a row at home for Bern.
