Kölner Haie (2) - Straubing Tigers (9) 5-0
A total of 13,431 fans came to see the match between Köln and Straubing. The home side started with a lot of pressure after their away loss on Friday against the Tigers and had a first big opportunity with a penalty shot after just four minutes but guest goalie Jason Bacashihua made the save. Still the Sharks continued with high pressure and were rewarded with three (!) goals in just 57 seconds when twice Nathan Robinson and Felix Schütz scored for them until 12:21. Shortly afterwards Köln had the next chance when they hit the goal post. After a scoreless middle period Felix Schütz with his second of the day and Greg Claaßen made everything clear for a solid 5-0 win by Köln.
