For the third game in a row the score of the semi final between Skellefteå and Linköping was 2-2 after three periods. The first to games were won by the visitors but today Skellefteå won at home on a goal scored by Oscar Lindberg.
In the first period of this Elitserien semi final game Skellefteå outshot Linköping 22-5 but Christian Engstrand in the visitor's net kept the score at 0-0 until 24:15 when he was beaten by Viktor Arvidsson.
At 32:38 Magnus Johansson tied it with a short-handed goal. This was Linköping's sixth shorthanded goal in eight games while they have only allowed three goals in box play. A minute later Linköping surprisely took the lead when Pär Arlbrandt, the top scorer of the playoffs, beat Skellefteå's goalie Joacim Eriksson.
Halfways through the third period Skellefteå tied it again. Petter Emanuelsson got the goal.
The overtime period lasted only for 3:27 before Oscar Lindberg got the winner assisted by Melker Karlsson and Petter Emanuelsson.
