With five days remaining to the World Championship the Euro Hockey Tour concluded with the Czech Hockey Games. Sweden who had a bad season finished in style and won the all three games in Brno.
On the last day Sweden dominated Finland but "only" won 2-1. Finland took the lead by Sakari Salminen but Jimmie Ericsson (PP) and Nicklas Danielsson turned things around for Sweden. Sweden's Linus Klasen left the game with a concussion and will probably miss the WC tournament.
The Czechs had a 1-0 lead against Russia but just as Finland they lost the game 1-2. Ivan Rachunek gave the home team the lead. One early and one late goal in the second period turned things around for the Russians. Goal scorers were Yegor Arevin and Kyril Petrov.
