US recovers from bad start to beat Austria

After being down 0-2 after six minutes against newcomers Austria Team USA came back and won 5-3.
Newcomers Austria shocked USA by taking a 2-0 with goals within 40 seconds in the first period. First Manuel Latusa opened the scoring with a slapshot from the slot and in the next shift Daniel Welser scored on a rebound.
But the US quickly recovered and reduced the lead when David Moss picked up a rebound from Faulk's shot on the power play. Erik Johnson scored the first of his two goals a few minutes into the second period and halfway through the game the USA had a lucky minute that decided the game.
First Tim Stapleton scored on another rebound to give USA the lead for the first time and less than 90 seconds later Aaron Palushaj scored with a one-timer of the post.
Austria took a time out and quickly reduced the lead to 4-3 when David Schuller raced clear and just get the puck over the goal line. BUt when Johnson scored his second goal of the game late in the second period this was USA's game.
The third period saw no goals and USA won the game 5-3. Austria lost the game but shows that they can compete as this level.
