Denmark did another good game at the World Championship but in the end Norway won after a late game winning goal by Norway's super star Patrick Thoresen.
Just against as Slovenia Norway got a great start when Mats Trygg opened the scoring at 1:03. The Danes push forward to much and gave Norway a counter attack. Mathis Olimb brought the puck in front of goal and was close to score himself but Trygg picked up the rebound and easily made it 1-0 on the wide open net.
But after the great Norwegian start it was a lot about Denmark who had three power plays but despite a few good chances Haugen kept his goal clean and Norway went to the first intermission as leaders.
Denmark continued to create chances in the second period but just couldn't beat Lars Haugen in the Norwegian net. Instead Anders Bastiansen scored his third goal of the tournament Anders Bastiansen with a hard shot during a delayed call at 17:05. Less then a minute Denmark finally got the puck pass Haugen but only to see the goal being disallowed for high sticking after a video review.
"I think it's hard that they did not allowed it", Mikkel Bødker said after the game.

It took until 5:09 into the third period for Denmark to get on the score board when Stefan Lassen fired home a hard shot from a few meters inside the blueline beating Haugen high on the glove side. And five minutes later the Danes tied it up after a very beautiful play when Mikkel Bødker found his brother Mads with a cross pass leaving Mads with a halfopen net, almost missing the finish but some how getting the puck in under Haugen for well deserved 2-2 goal.

With three minutes left of the period Norway's player with most ice time Ole-Kristian Tollefsen left the ice with what seemed to be a concussion after a unlucky crash into the boards after a check behind the goal. Bad news for injury if he is out of the tournament. Bad news quickly became good news when last year top scorer Patrick Thoresen found the net a half minute later when skated into the slot and scored with a backhand.
"I think we were the better team in the third. We made a good game but we should have had some points", Mikkel Bødker said about the loss.
A hard blow for Denmark who did another good effort but still have no points. Norway on the other hand can do better but still have maximal six points.
