Last night 211 young players were selected in the 2013 NHL draft. A total of 58 European players were picked.
Nathan MacKinnon of Halifax Mooseheads (QMJHL) was selected first overall by Colorado Avalanche. As number two Florida Panthers picked Finland's Aleksander Barkov (picture).
Twenty-five of the draft picks are from Sweden and 11 from Finland. Then follow Russia 8, Switzerland 4, Slovakia 4, Czech Republic 3.
Three countries got one: Latvia, Denmark and Norway.
