All Change at Team GB

There is full upheaval in the Team GB camp. After Tony Hand steps down from coaching the senior men's team; now comes the news that GB women’s Coach Simon Manning and assistant Fiona King have been released from their duties.
Manning took over as coach in 2012 and led the team to a 4th place finish in division 1B. GB also travelled to Shanghai in a bid to qualify for Sochi 2014 but came up short. This year in the Women’s World Championship, GB were relegated to Division 2A.
“It was a difficult decision that IHUK had to make” said IHUK General Secretary Andy French, “The competition is getting stronger, and as an organization, we need to get the women promoted again and start competing against these teams both on and off the ice.”
IHUK are now currently looking for replacements for both head and assistant coaches for the women’s team, they are also looking for head coach for the men’s senior team and for someone to fill the position to head up a national talent and development role.
