The Finnish men's team won Czech Hockey Games and during the same weekend the women won the 4-nation tournament aganst Russia, Sweden and Germany.
Vierumäki, Valkeakoski, Kotka and Järvenpää co-hosted the Women's Euro Hockey Tour rournament featuring Finland, Russia, Sweden and Germany.
The home team won all games to gain good confidence for the upcoming Olympics.
The toughest game was the first one against Russia. Finland won with the only goal scored by Mira Jalosuo during a 2-man advantage late in the second period. Meeri Räisänen in the net made 25 saves to earn the shutout.
Germany was easily defeated 8-2 on the second day. Susanna Tapani, Michelle Karvinen and Linda Välimäki scored two goals each.
In the last game Finland defeated Sweden 3-0. Karoliina Rantamäki, Susanna Tapani and Jenni Hiirikoski all scored in the second period. Noora Räty earned a shutout with 30 saves.
Russia finished second after wins against Sweden (4-1) and Germany (2-1). Sweden beat Germany 3-0 on the opening game to finish third.
