SKA St. Petersburg, Dynamo Moscow, Barys Astana and Dinamo Riga stay undefeated.
12 games took place Tuesday evening in the KHL. SKA's Ilya Kovalchuk scored his first goal in the second period of their 5-1 win over Yugra. As expected, SKA has been dominate and are undefeated through their first three matches.
Dynamo Moscow continued their own dominate streak with a 4-1 win over Salavat Ufa. The game was 2-1 for Dynamo after the first period, but Moscow would score a goal in each of the final two to go 4-0-0 to start the season.
Barys also remained undefeated with a 5-3 win over Lokomotiv. Dawes (points), Lundin (assists) and Bochenski (plus/minus) are all current leaders in their respective categories for the entire KHL.
Upstart Dinamo Riga put in three goals on Spartak and Jeff Glass (one empty net goal), ending his two game shutout streak. Riga is now 3-0-0 after finishing with the worse record last season. Spartak was also undefeated to start the season before suffering this loss (2-1-0).
In a battle of two winless teams, Dinamo Minsk shutout Slovan Bratislava 2-0. Slovan is having a rough start after being the sixth playoff seed in the Western Conference last season. In a similar battle of winless teams, Avtomobilist defeated Atlant in a shootout. Toluzakov and Lazarev had the two penalty scores for Avtomobilist with Trubachyov getting the only penalty goal for Atlant.
