Torpedo wins in Riga, Dynamo wins with a big fight in Bratislava while Bars take a road win from Prague.
Monday
in the KHL didn't quite looked that it was a Russian league. All the games were
played outside Russia, though Russians were more successful in every game.
Dinamo Riga - Torpedo 2:3
Sakari Salminen lights the lamp twice in Riga to give Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod the edge. Juuso Hietanen opened the scoring in Riga at 20:44 in the powerplay, while Salminen doubles at 26:21. With two powerplay goals coming from Sandis Ozolins and Vitalijs Pavlovs, Dinamo gets right back into it, but Salminen puts the end to the story with his second of the night. He also added an assist on the first goal.
Slovan - Dynamo Moscow 4:5
Slovan Bratislava entered the game furiously and were up 2:0 and 3:1, but couldn't hold it to the end. Michal Vondrka scored a goal to double after Tomas Mojzis' strike at 14:08, and also assisted on that first one. Maxim Pestushko scored a goal and added two assists to get Dynamo up front , while Leo Komarov's 3 assists helped Konstantin Gorovikov to score the uncatchable lead for Dynamo 5:3 at 49:40. Martin Bakos scored the final goal in the game at 54:30, but that wasn't enough.
Lev - Ak Bars 1:2
Janne Pesonnen scored twice, while Alexei Tereshchenko added snapped two assists to give Bars the 2:0 lead in Prague. A goal was scored in each period with Lev striking at the beginning of the third through Nicklas Danielsson. It wasn't enough though as Bars continue to follow Neftekhimik and Barys in quest for the top spot in the East.
