Admiral opened home season
Admiral opened the home KHL season with a historic win over CSKA, Amur takes first regulation points and SKA victorious in Moscow. All that and more in Sept. 27th KHL roundup.
Artemy Panarin stroke twice and added an assist in SKA's road victory over the reigning champions Dynamo Moscow. Evgeny Skachkov and Maxim Chudinov stroke twice early in the first to shake the hosts. Midway through the period it's 0:2 SKA, but Leo Komarov gets the game level in the second. First he racked up the pass from Janne Jalasvaara who found him left alone at the post, and at 35:17 the game was tied.
That was all Dynamo could acomplish, Artemy Panarin added two for SKA at 41:03 and 44:19 while Anton Malyshev and Patrick Thoresen sealed the deal for the final 6:2 SKA win.
Biggest KHL and SKA star, Ilya Kovalchuk, was left pointless.
Admiral triumphant opening the home arena
First time ever Admiral players hit the ice in their home arena and the home fans could finally see their knights. And they had something to see! Viktor Drugov brought the home side in the lead at 18:36, but in a span of 11 seconds at the beginning of the second period Enver Lisin doubles, while Drugov brings his second home to give the host 3:0 edge over their rivals.
Nikolay Prokhorkin brought back hope for CSKA lighting the lamo in Ilya Zubov's assist who added a goal in the end as a consolidation for the Muscovians whereas Denis Osipov ensured the win at 32:35.
Amur at last
Amur finally got their first regulation points. And they made it against super powerful Latvian side. In a high-paced, extremely interesting game, Amur took the lead with Jakub Petruzalek scoring early at 3:37. Macel Hossa levels the sides at 29:12, but then at 46:04 Denis Yezhov fires a blast from the blue to ensure Amur get away with a win.
