VHL Regular season comes to an end

The Russian second league VHL finished its regular season. Outstanding in the top are two teams: Rubin Tyumen and Toros Neftekamsk.

Rubin Tyumen finished first with 124 points in the 56 rounds. Toros Neftekamsk came second, with four ponts less. The gap to the third team, Neftyanik Almetievsk, was another 21 points.

Evgeny Tunik of Toros finished on top of the scoring list with 24 goals and 27 assists. Top goal scorer was Alexander Zhurun of Rubin.

16 of the 20 teams made it to the playoffs. Only Mechel Chelyabinsk, Izhstal Izhevsk, Dinamo Tver and Lada Togliatti failed to qualify for the post season.

The playoffs will start March 5th.
