Sweden extends contract with coaches

Pär Mårts, Peter Popovic and Rikard Grönborg stays with Tre Kronor and Grönberg also continues as coach with the Swedish juniors.
One week before the Sochi Olympics the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation announces that Pär Mårts, Peter Popovic and Rikard Grönberg has signed new contracts as coaches for Team Sweden for two more years. Mårts and Popovic has been coaches for Sweden since 2011 and Grönborg joined in 2012. The trio were coaches when Sweden won the World Championship 2013. Grönborg is also head coach for Sweden's junior team.
"I'm very glad that we have been able to extend the agreements and continue the cooperation with those succesful coaches and I know that our board is also glad for that. Even in an international perspective few coaches that have reached such success as Pär, Peter and Rikard has done", says Tommy Boustedt, development and national team manager of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.
