  1. The two teams last met in Olympic competition at Nagano 1994, with Finland shutting out Norway 4-0
  2. They last met in the quarterfinal of the 2011 world championship with the Finns eliminating the Norwegians 4-1
  3. Finland’s roster features the oldest and youngest player in the men’s ice hockey tournament: Teemu Selanne, 43, and Aleksander Barkov, 18.
  4. At 43, Selanne is one of only two players over 43 to take part in men's Olympic ice hockey since St Moritz 1928. The other is Chris Chelios, who was 44 when he took part at Torino 2006.
